Tapas Mishra has more than 30 years of practice in Corporate Tax - Litigation and advisory and has been practicing in the area of corporate tax, direct and indirect, general corporate and commercial laws. He has considerable experience in tax litigation and help form an appropriate litigation strategy as also in arguing matters before appellate authorities, tax tribunals and courts.
Mr Mishra has wide ranging experience in direct tax covering all aspects of tax disputes, including litigation and advisory, ranging from general corporate tax issues, disputes relating to tax incentives and exemptions, taxation of trusts and charities, search and seizure cases, and international tax issues emerging from cross border transactions that involved interpretation of double taxation avoidance agreements, tax withholding related disputes, taxation of expatriate personnel and Indian personnel deployed overseas, etc., making representations to the Central Board of Direct Taxes and other Ministries on matters that may require government intervention in the form of issuing Circular/Clarification and minimize future disputes.
Mr Mishra has wide experience in handling Survey and Search and Seizure cases and the assessments and appeals following such operations.
